What is The Bra Connection?
It is an informational site dedicated to women who need more choices in bras. Our staff researches the web and presents bra-related data in ways that enable readers to acquire and wear bras with more satisfaction. These formats include lists, charts, databases, diagrams, articles, anecdotes and tips. We hope the site organizes topics so that readers may contribute from their own experiences, be they stories, product reviews, or new items to be added to the database.
How do I use the site?
Please do explore The Bra Connection by reading what's in pull-down menus and seeing what's of interest to you. Use our lists to do your own research, or better yet click through to suggested retailers and use their search tools to find offerings for your size or special need. Whether or not you like browsing, some of these retailers have very competitive prices, jaw-dropping selections, and friendly user interfaces. (Visit The Bra Connection frequently to see new material in place of greyed-out titles.)
Try our Ready-to-Wear database (coming soon) using either the quick search or advanced search tool. With more than 200 brands of bras in petite, big cup, big band, luxury, sports, post-surgical, nursing, special occasion and swimwear styles, chances are you'll find something you haven't seen before. When you find something you want, click the link to order it or use the brand name and style number to phone around to retailers near you.
Finally, participate!
- Go to the Ready-to-Wear section (coming soon) and review bras you've tried. You can give details about fit, fabrication and durability, or just comment yay or nay.
- Register on the forum and pose questions to our readership, such as where to find a specific model of bra, or perhaps request a loan of a bra for a special occasion.
- Send us stories, comments, resources and items of your own that can be posted with our content. Your tips are useful!
- Give us feedback-- either by email or on the forum, on how we're doing and on subjects you'd like to see addressed in future.
- And of course, tell a friend who you think would benefit from The Bra Connection. We (and probably she) will thank you for it!

Who are you?
We are a small two-family business in Silicon Valley, California. Included in our individual descriptions are engineer, web designer, business developer, site builder, forum moderator, high school student, mother, father, son, sewist, fashion enthusiast, luxury bra lover, and internet shopaholic. Much of the work you see on The Bra Connection has been researched, written, designed, coded, financed and otherwise produced by our family members and/or friends. We work out of our homes to make the guide when we are not at our day jobs, doing homework or taking care of our families.
What's your interest in bras for hard-to-fit women?
Our interest, in fact, is personal! Pora writes:
I am a full busted woman. After surviving my son's toddlerhood I was in need of some wardrobe renewal, including new bras. I found I wanted better fit and styles than I had been wearing and started hunting on the web. My glee was palpable when I found more than 40 brands to fit me. Even better, a whole community of full-busted, Usenet-loving sewing enthusiasts started tutoring me in the crafts of bra sewing and alteration. After decades of struggling with every industrial-strength foundation garment known to womankind, I had finally gotten satisfaction from the internet!
Feeling elated and empowered, I became a fairy bra-mother to my cohorts. Even a AA-cup-wearing sales associate at Nordstrom wasn't immune to my internet lists. When my husband Henry saw me compiling these brand and site lists, he suggested starting a site for hard-to-fit women everywhere. It appeared that this had not yet been done, so we all pitched in and got it going.
